These leggings were plant dyed with Osage then eco printed using local foliage. They are like a second skin that protects and keeps moisture in. Plant dying is a long process. First I scour the fabric to remove impurities, then using a tannin bath in which the garment is soaked for several days then lastly a mordant bath (a salt bath) Unlike synthetic dyes natural dyes defer in that they are always one of a kind.
