FABRICS
HEMP
Grown since 8000 BC, it is the first plant used for textiles. It requires no pesticides or herbicides. It is the most durable of all natural fibres and blends easily with other fibres. Hemp adapts to weather and gets softer with every use. It provides excellent UV protection and is anti-bacterial, mould resistant, and moth resistant... Machine wash, cold water gentle cycle or hand wash cycle. Hang to dry.
MODAL
Modal fabric is made from beechwood trees. It is extremely hard-wearing and keeps its shape and finish, even after frequent washing. Unlike garments made from synthetic fibers like nylon and polyester, Modal fabric does not trap perspiration and odors. Modal is up to 50 percent more absorbent than cotton, so clothes never feel sweaty and sticky. The modal fabric is made ethically in Toronto. Machine wash cold water gentle cycle or hand wash cycle. Hang to dry.
BAMBOO
Bamboo fabric is luxuriously soft and naturally hypoallergenic, moisture- absorbent and quick drying. The fiber is naturally smooth and round without chemical treatment, meaning that there are no sharp spurs to irritate the skin. Bamboo can look and feel like silk or very soft cotton. Machine wash cold water gentle cycle or hand wash cycle. Hang to dry.
MERINO WOOL
Super fine merino wool is made from sheep wool. Its long fibres make it super soft to the skin. It is an excellent light warm fabric.
ORGANIC COTTON
Made in Toronto from Gots Certified organic cotton.
SOY ORGANIC COTTON
Soy Fabric is made through distillation and is refined and converted into a liquid form by adding a non-toxic auxiliary agent and enzyme. Soy is blended with organic cotton to make a strong and long lasting fabric. Soy Fabric is: eco friendly; soft as cashmere; anti bacterial; UV resistant. Soy is easy to care for. Machine wash cold gentle cycle. Lay flat to dry. Soy has a beautiful drape that does not need to be ironed.
